Kayden's Swimming

Kayden's been taking swim lessons again this summer and really doing pretty well. Just a few pictures from his last lesson.

Weekend in Wisconsin

We were able to go to our friends, the Wothe's, this last weekend in Wisconsin and had a great time. We got to ride horses, see the baby chicks and enjoy some time just relaxing. The Wothe's are friends from Seattle that we just found out lived out near us so we thought we'd go visit them for the weekend. They have a beautiful home out in the country and it was good to be out on "the farm" again. Kayden and Gene both loved it. Kayden got to ride a horse and play with the baby chicks. Gene seemed to be able to communicate with the chicks and kept trying to talk with them in his own babbling language. When we were getting ready to leave Kayden asked if we could just stay there with them from now on.

While we were gone, our friends were watching our dog Lizzy and she got hit by a car when they were out running. She broke her pelvis in 5 spots and got a few cuts but the vet says she should heal alright without any surgery. She just has to stay in her kennel for the next four weeks, which for her should be a challenge but we're just glad she's going to be alright.

St Cloud

We just spent the weekend up in St Cloud Minnesota, where I'll be finishing up my MBA at St Cloud State University. Neither of us had ever been there before so we spent some time just driving around, getting lost and exploring the area. We went to church on Sunday and it's been a long time since we've been in a ward with over 300 people attending! It seems like a great ward and everyone was really nice.

Classes start for me on May 15th so I'll be up there right away but it's just one day a week for the first month. Hopefully we'll have our house sold soon and then we'll move up there until I'm finished in December!

Spring in Minnesota

I mentioned previously how nice it was now that it was finally spring in Minnesota. Then we had a ice storm and it snowed six more inches over the weekend. It never ends here...

Kayden's Birthday

Well Kayden had a pretty fun filled birthday. We played wii bowling this morning, went and picked up his two new fish friends Rumy and Numy(pronounced "roomy", and "noomy", made up by Kayden of course), we played raquetball with some friends tonight and then had pizza and cake together.

Gene's Birthday

Gene had his first birthday yesterday. We went swimming at the YMCA, and then had presents and cake at home. He definitely liked the cake...
